Concept of Service....Does any one, any more know what that means?

DOES ANY ONE ANY MORE KNOW WHAT IS SERVICE!!

Ooof! I am go tired talking to these Mobile phone customer service people, All I asked them was if they could change the number of the new connection that I was planning to take up. The agent at the desk readily agreed to my request and said it would done in a Days time. Wonderful! I thought.

It's been a Month now and I still have some stupit number that came with the SIM, I call them up every week and set the same sob story that the request is still open adn no updates are available about it.

A simple servie.... All that stupid freak of the mobile operator has got to do is change the association of my SIM number to the new requested Mobile number, a minutes job, and they are dancing on it for a Month now. This is the kind of service that we get in Namma Bangaloru!

Just this other day my Mom and Dad were here and I got a Auto to take them out, the Auto Drive started cribing as he had to wait for a couple of minutes for my Mom to get down from the first floor, and them he started complaining about the number of packages that we were trying to take. Dad just told him once, "Look Mr. Auto Driver, you are in this service business, so don't cry to do service. If you are being inconvenienced, you do your service sincerely and request for more pay and we will gladly pay you more for the inconvenience caused."

After that he didn't cirb anymore, but the point here is no-body and I mean no-body any more seem to have any idea as to what a Service is. Be it the customer who is entitled to it or be it the vender who is obligated to serve.

Can we do something about this? Shouldn't we get the service that we deserve for the money we pay!

Hum.... Is that all we can do, just accept this as our fate?
There must be some way to get what we deserve as consumers! and Customers!

All year long we are thought at our offices that "Customer is the King!" We need to share this gyan to the Service industry floks too.

As long as there is monopoly and no compitition I think the situation will not improve!!

Yeah, service seems to be the last thing on some customer service folks' minds. Once when I called my ISP, the customer service rep put me on hold for a very long time and the funny thing is I could hear him go on and on, talking to some one about picking his car up from the workshop.
